Criteria for Selection
Think you or someone you know deserves to be the Healthy Trucking Driver of the Year or Healthy Trucking Fleet of the Year? Consider the following criteria before nominating an extraordinary driver or fleet.
To be considered for selection, drivers must be:
- A current CDL card-holder
- A skilled and experienced commercial driver
- A physically active individual who continuously seeks to enhance his/her health
- Genuinely interested in promoting healthy habits to others
- In good standing with his/her current employer
- In good standing with Compliance, Safety, and Accountability (CSA) score
- Posess a positive and an outstanding attitude
Fleets that are considered for selection will have health and wellness programs that:
- Are integrated into the organization’s options and target a variety of healthcare concerns
- Address not only individual needs but also account for environmental and cultural factors as well as policy issues
- Are tailored to specific population needs with a large number of participants
- Have an evaluation based on a clear definition of success
- Clearly communicate with key stakeholders in regards to successful outcomes and expectations
