Accredited Member Center of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine
Our Sleep Medicine Center received accreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine in December 2006. It received the Academy’s highest level of Accreditation as a Sleep Disorders Center.
The American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) is a professional organization dedicated to the assurance of quality care for patients with sleep disorders, the advancement of sleep research, and public and professional education.
Accreditation by the AASM, with routine re-accreditation evaluations, assures quality patient care through comprehensive clinical evaluation and treatment. An accredited sleep center must demonstrate compliance to a detailed set of standards and practice guidelines including:
- Employing skilled, licensed and qualified staff
- Oversight provided by a Diplomate of the American Board of Sleep Medicine
- Creating and maintaining a clean, comfortable and safe environment for patients
- Developing and maintaining a quality assurance plan and adhering to evidence-based practice parameters
