FusionHealth Increases Employer Client Participant Enrollment by 200%
FusionHealth, the leading provider of innovative sleep health management solutions that improve employee health and wellness by preventing chronic diseases and reducing costs directly linked to sleep disorders, today announced record performance in 2013, with program enrollment from its employer client base increasing +200% in 2013 over 2012.
Significant health, safety and economic benefits associated with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) treatment can be made possible by FusionHealth’s technology-enabled sleep health management solutions, such as its nationwide Sleep4YourHealth® program.
“Historically, our programs have been successfully deployed in the transportation sector for safety compliance and to drive healthcare cost savings,” stated Sigurjon Kristjansson, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of FusionHealth. “However, sleep apnea is not an isolated problem for just the transportation industry. Today we see self-insured employers from all industries beginning to recognize the value of sleep health management and specifically how our technology-enabled platform provides an effective solution to help them gain control of spiraling health related costs.”
During the year FushionHealth completed a 12 month case study for one of its leading clients, which resulted in demonstrable savings in healthcare costs and dramatic improvement in job safety performance. Specifically, FusionHealth’s Sleep Health Management program helped reduce medical and pharmacy costs among program participants by 5%, compared to an increase in costs of 21% among the client’s general population. Further, the client experienced a 45% decline in preventable accidents as opposed to an increase of 48% among the control population.1
FusionHealth generates these powerful results primarily through its proprietary i.AIM® technology platform which delivers superior adherence to treatment. FusionHealth consistently delivers greater than 90% adherence to sleep apnea therapy, a stark contrast to the national average of 50% or less as commonly seen with other chronic disease management programs.
“From our clinical experience as well as years of research, we know that the key to success for any OSA program is adherence to sleep treatments. Our innovative technology-enabled care management approach demonstrates consistent long-term outcomes with unparalleled adherence to treatments and acceptance by patients,” stated Dr. Jeffrey Durmer, Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of FusionHealth.
