Financial Benefits of OSA Treatments

In 2010, the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine published an article on a study that examined the costs associated with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in commercial drivers and the financial benefits of OSA treatments.

According to the results, continuous positive airway pressure and bi-level positive airway treatments reduced health-related costs by $6,341, lowered absenteeism rates from 6.1 to 1.7 days, and cut short-term disability leave by ~ 7%.
